Your Apartment
At NewSA we strive to provide a comfortable atmosphere you will enjoy coming home to, taking care of all the necessities of student living.
All apartments are fully furnished with basic supplies of cookware and crockery for each resident. Kitchen and dining areas come with shared 500 litre refrigerator/s, stove, microwave and dining table.
Shared bathrooms include toilet, shower and vanity units (most apartments have multiple bathrooms).
Each apartment also features a large living room with a supplied TV, sofas and coffee tables with enough room for you to unwind at the end of the day. All residences also have access to al fresco areas, including undercover barbecues and seating, so you can take advantage of Newcastle’s wonderful weather.
Your Room
Each bedroom provides your own secured space where you can easily study with peace of mind.
All bedrooms come completely furnished including a bed, side tables, wardrobes, desk, chair lamps and a TV. All linen is provided including mattress protectors, sheets, quilts, pillows and pillow-cases. Fans and heaters are also supplied.
Bed size will vary dependent on the room. We offer single, double and queen room subject to availability.
Safety and security
NewSA does its best to ensure the safety of all its residents.
Apartment complexes are only accessible via supplied security keys; residents are supplied with keys necessary for each apartment as well as their bedroom and a key for their own supplied food cupboard in the kitchens.
Each bedroom and apartment complex has a monitored smoke detector installed for your safety and each apartment is fitted with fire extinguishers and fire blankets. Evacuation plans are fitted to the back of each bedroom door.
Premises are gated and lockable for you security with 24 hr CCTV in operation.
Rental fees and inclusions
Accommodation Periods
Newcastle student accommodation is available on a 5, 10 or 12 month agreement, Please see our Shared Accommodation Agreement for further information.
The student housing is provided to students only. Students from the NSW TAFE, Newcastle University and the Newcastle Conservatorium of Music, among others, all qualify to apply.
Accommodation Fee Payment
A security deposit of 2 weeks rent is required in conjunction with a $400 Key and Performance deposit is required before entering the Agreement. This will be released at the end of the agreement subject to any fees outstanding.
Accommodation fees are to be paid by bank transfer .
Your Accommodation fees with NewSA includes: all Council fees and water rates and water usage, electricity and the internet*.
